I'm a graphic artist specializing in desktop publishing and digital art. Honestly, I haven't taken a single college art class (I have nearly all sciences haha), but what started as a hobby is now a real career. I started writing fanfiction and goofing around on oekaki boards, but later put my skills to use doing anything and everything design related for a local youth organization. After I started to freelance, I got the chance to join a non-profit, and here I am today :) still learning every day, still using GIMP and free trials of pro software, still planning to go to skill to learn everything there is about graphic design.

These first four months of the year, people are getting big projects and stuff prepared. This time period also happens to be the dreaded "Allergy Season" which sucks. A lot. Some people get a minor cold or something and it blows over, but when you have no external symptoms like watery eyes, sore throat, stuffy nose....it means everything is happening on a level where you can't take anything to solve it.
My skin becomes itchy and sensitive to the pollen floating in the air, I get woozy, and have these weird pulsing headaches.
I imagine that the latter of my symptoms are similar to being hung over, but I've never drunk alcohol so I wouldn't

I have a growing list of projects to work on. Which is good. I just can't seem to get away from the computer screen, tho. All my design, layout, editing, communicating, research & education, relaxation & entertainment is all through this whirring black tower beside me and the large LED screen in front of me. At this point I'm looking for excuses and things to do away from the screen. Pretty soon, I'm gonna start taking classes for more design stuff so even at school I won't get a break from the screen. I'm also considering getting gamer glasses or something for work so that my eyes don't go bad from staring at unnatural light during the bette

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful, the Creator and Designer of Everything
Today is the day I pick up the final print order for my organization's very first seminar. This Friday will essentially be the culmination of everything we have been working on the last four-five months. It scary good, I just hope nothing goes wrong at the last minute, as things tend to do with large scale events.
In this calm before the storm, I'm exploring as many options as I can and learning the extent of my limits.
